"There is a great sense of community within the Montessori classroom, where children of differing ages work together in an atmosphere  of cooperation rather than competitiveness.

There is respect for the environment and for the individuals within it, which comes through experience of freedom within the community." - Dr. Maria Montessori

This quote from Dr. Maria Montessori, founder of the Montessori method of education, is very accurate and evident within the walls of CFC's Los Niño’s Early Childhood Montessori Program.  There is a great sense of community and it extends throughout Community Family Centers.

This community and our neighbors are important to us.  Our team strives each and every day to build a stronger community by helping families address their basic needs as they move toward self-sufficiency and economic advancement.

For the last 9 years we have joined with friends and neighbors for our annual Family Power Walk which raises funds that go right back in to improving this community.  Thanks to you, this event has grown over the years and now includes a festival your entire family can enjoy.

This is my personal invitation to you to join me for the 10th annual Festival and Family Power Walk on Saturday, May 13, 2017.  Our Grand Marshal this year is Adriana Gonzalez, President/CEO of  Cámara de Empresarios Latinos de Houston (CELH) The Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. at CFC and the fun will continue until 3:00 p.m. in our parking lot.  Its an event you won't want to miss and it wouldn't be possible (or nearly as much fun) without your participation and support.  Walk teams are forming now; you may register on the Community Family Centers website.  I'll see you at the finish line!

Appreciatively,
